What? Essential oils and homeschooling? Why? For focus, immune support, calming, and so much more! I plan my homeschool and sometimes I like to be intentional with my oils. But let me back up, how did I get started? Well in short, I was tired of my family being sick all winter long. So we added a super food drink (Ningxia Red) and a little bottle that changed our lives for the better. For the longer version click here.
How do we use them in our homeschool? Basically 3 ways.
Diffuse or Aromatically
Diffusing essential oils is so simple, add oils and water to a diffuser to disperse it into the air or just simply crack open a bottle and breathe it in. I like to use Clarity and Stress Away for encouraging focus and peace. Citrus Fresh or any citrus oils is a great pick me up for sluggish mornings. Endoflex recently is my go to for all thing emotional!
Topically
You can apply them to your wrists, neck, back, feet, etc. This allows the body to absorb the oils through the skin. Peace and Calming helps to reduce stress and tension. Having a roller really makes this easy.
Internally
I add several drops to my Ningxia Red every morning along with a liquid form of Vitamin D. If anyone is feeling under the weather or we just need an extra immunity boost, I will add lemon to everyone's Ningxia. I prefer Thieves in mine, but it was too spicy for my family!
I have just started using my iTovi scan more intentionally. I scanned half our family, Peter, Keegan and myself this morning. I diffused 4-6 oils from each scan in different rooms, for example I put Peter's top 4 oils in the bedroom diffuser where he works. I put mine in the front hall because I seem to always moving back and forth and Keegan's I put in the family room diffuser where we normally do our school. I also created rollers for each of us and will be rolling on our feet with our "personalized" rollers. This is how I plan to be more intentional about using oils this season.
