Sick days in the spring??
How homeschooling is going today…

Little math
Little Bible
Little history
Little piano

When left to work on proportions on his own after lunch…he fell asleep.

I think he’s got what we’ve all had the last couple of weeks.

We may not get to:
2 more chapters of history: starting Amer Rev
Geography
Finishing Math
IEW writing
IEW Fix It Grammar
Science
Reading Sign of the Beaver or French and Indian War

Tired from the weekend or is he sick? I think it’s likely a bit of both. So we take a slower day and I let him nap when needed. Colds don’t warrant taking the entire day off in my book.

The question is: how much school work needs to be accomplished to allow video games? Playing with friends? Playing in a baseball game?

I’d love to hear how you handle colds and activities in the spring!

Allison

Hey there! I’m Allison, a homeschool mom of 4 boys, married to Peter. Three of my boys have graduated, and I still have one in high school.

We live in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Life here is beautiful, a little loud, and full of wrestling matches. We’re definitely a work in progress, and that’s real life.

A little about me and how I got here...

I used to feel overwhelmed by all the information about health, ingredients, and creating a lower-tox home. There was always something else I could be doing, and honestly, I didn’t know what really mattered most.

Then I discovered that I didn’t have to change everything at once. I could start small, make simple swaps, and learn what actually worked for my family in real life. That made it feel doable.

Now I help busy, thoughtful moms in a full or changing season of life who want healthier, more intentional choices for their home and family but feel overwhelmed by where to start.

I help them simplify wellness, focus on what matters most, and make changes that actually fit real life.

If that’s you, get in touch. I’d love to help.

Here is my story on YouTube.
