Friday are our best days for Field trips to round out the week. 

This was likely my favorite “traditional” educational field trip of the year. 

Though I’ve been here a ton of times with my boys, we did 3 things we’ve never done before: 

Turtles class- this was a q&a behind the scenes with a guide on top of the Ocean Realm which we’ve only scene from the other side of the glass. Those who have been there in the last thirsty years: Bob is still there! She (yes she) has been at the Aquarium for 30 years!


Reptile class- this one we wouldn’t do again, it reminded me of Camp Little Bear when they bring out a few reptiles for you to see up close and they give a few facts. Maybe if Keegan were Camp Little Bear age, 3-5, he would have enjoyed this more!


VR Under Water Explorer- this was probably the coolest thing! There were 4 to choose from. Keegan chose Swimming With the Sharks and it was awesome!

Hey there! I’m Allison, a homeschool mom of 4 boys, married to Peter. Three of my boys have graduated, and I still have one in high school.

We live in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Life here is beautiful, a little loud, and full of wrestling matches. We’re definitely a work in progress, and that’s real life.

A little about me and how I got here...

I used to feel overwhelmed by all the information about health, ingredients, and creating a lower-tox home. There was always something else I could be doing, and honestly, I didn’t know what really mattered most.

Then I discovered that I didn’t have to change everything at once. I could start small, make simple swaps, and learn what actually worked for my family in real life. That made it feel doable.

Now I help busy, thoughtful moms in a full or changing season of life who want healthier, more intentional choices for their home and family but feel overwhelmed by where to start.

I help them simplify wellness, focus on what matters most, and make changes that actually fit real life.
