Making Bread from Freshly Milled Flour for the First Time!
From einkorn berries to a sandwich

This bread uses yeast. I’m so used to sourdough bread now that yeast breads taste odd to me😆

Couple things I learned from my first batch of fresh ground flour bread:
- don’t forget to add the flour from the little cup under the lid
- don’t be fooled into thinking it won’t rise or it should go in a smaller pan (it over flowed)

- use greased Saran to cover not a towel
- preheat oven earlier, too much rise time will cause the bread to fall in the oven and will have a flat top rather than a rounded one
- lighter tasting than I expected, I expected the bread to be heavy and it wasn’t.

Looking forward to more grain coming next week and trying sourdough bread with fresh flour!
