Do you ever let your kiddos choose the order of their school day?
I find that sometimes still is the best way to keep arguments at bay. I lay everything across the coffee table and he ordered them.
From top to bottom Keegan’s order choice for school today, hardest to easiest:
Math - working on equivalent fractions and adding them
IEW - need to fuse 3 Key word outlines into one and write a rough draft from the fuses outline, topic is Crown Jewels of England, also need to make corrections after I check last week’s paper on the Pitcher Plant (if needed)
Geography - The British Isles
Fix It Grammar
Bible reading
Percy reading
Science including workbook crossword puzzles, finishing up The Eye of The Senses chapter, possible experiment? I think it’s taste testing
History reading and lap book - early colonization, this usually takes the longest
Cursive copy work
Independing reading - Mustang
We will go thru all my teaching and move on to the next subject if there is some independent work to be done. For instance, we went thru all the math: corrections, new lesson and practice problems so I know he gets it and then we moved to IEW. He will do the math later on his own.
Diffuser choice: Thieves and Lemon
Not sure if we will get thru it all since we started at 10:30 but since we are pushing thru the hardest stuff first we may fly thru the rest.
