I can't believe we are just about one month in to the school year already! How is your school year going?
Keegan (11, 6th) is enjoying SALT this year and on every Wednesday after SALT his grandmother, my mom, Marmi, picks him up and takes him out to lunch for some much needed grandmother/grandson time! This is something she has done with each of my boys.
Baseball is also in full swing, many rain outs but still have about a month to go for fall ball. Keegan enjoys first base and pitching the most. And our Tuesday homeschool hikes have started up again. It’s great to be out in nature with friends.

Brady is also in fall ball that also has about a month to go. Unfortunately after this season, he will be too old for Little League. unless he decides to check out Legion. As you can see from the pic below, he wasn’t thrilled to be catcher for the first time in years! Some of his Echo friends are playing volleyball so he may look into that after the new year.

We had my favorite field trip of the fall already: Cherry Crest Farm! Unfortunately Brady had to work, but Keegan and I had fun doing the obstacle course, giant slide and the corn maze. We met up with SALT and Echo kids and parents.

Math has been mostly review with a little intro of variables. We are slowly getting into pre algebra, one of my favorite subjects to teach!
Lastly, Percy Jackson is still a favorite in the Crowe Household! We just finished Mark of Athena and plan to start House of Hades this week. This is the second to last book in the series and then we will move to The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
