Day in the Life of a 6th Grader
How do your homeschool days look?

Being that Keegan just had a sneezing fit (allergies) and is taking a cat nap, I thought I’d lay out our day today. While I like to start at 9am, it’s usually closer to 10:30. 😆

The goal is to get at least 3 subjects completed by lunch time. Each pile is a subject. The bottom right shows all of our English even tho it looks like 3 piles.

Each day varies a little depending on what we have planned. Normally Mondays and Fridays are our fullest days (unless we’re on a Field trip). Since we are our for something every Tuesday-Thursday.

-We start with prayer and Bible
-History reading is normally next with him working on his lap book
-I like to do math next, but since I only teach a new lesson 1-2 times per week, he’s normally doing that on his own or while I read the latest Percy book which happens to be House of Hades right now
-Shortly after lunch we jump into science and English. Most of his English at this point is on his own with me again only teaching 1-2 times per week

We like this relaxed pace tho it’s sometimes hard for me to remember that we’re not behind just because we didn’t start at 9am 😆
