Another Homeschool Year About to Start and an Update!
It's been a full month! Last blog post I shared about my schoolroom.  It's finished and almost all the new materials are in there. I'm still waiting on some to be shipped, but I have just about everything I need to get started next week.

We moved in Connor on August 18 and we are so excited for his freshman year at Liberty! I'd be lying if I said it's not hard to see your second born launched a couple states away even if he's going to a terrific school. I am trying to pray 3 things for him daily: study hard, stay in the Word and have fun! As I write, this is hard. I miss my boy. Has everything been perfect with him? Of course not! He definitely knows how to push my buttons! And I still haven't learned to not engage when it's not needed. But I know this is where he's supposed to be.

He's studying Finance, just like Jackson at Drexel, but taking mostly gen ed classes right now like most freshman. I was excited to hear that he joined a bowling league and a spike ball tournament! And of course he's playing ping pong with the guys on his floor and beating all of them! I have no doubt that he's going to do great!

Next, Jackson still has a month left of his co op/internship before classes start again for 6 months. He's starting his 4th year at Drexel in his 5 year co op program. He's had the summer of his life! Vegas golfing and gambling with his childhood friends from church, sky diving, trips to the beach, driving a jet ski, spending lots of time with his girlfriend and friends and a HOLE IN ONE!! But I think he's ready for classes and Fridays off (so he can golf more).

Brady has also had a full summer with the missions trip to Kansas City, Counselor at Adventure Camp with Church of the Saviour, day trips to Ocean City, NJ and overnight trips to Wildwood and Long Beach Island, amusement parks all while working as a lifeguard at the Y! I know he's NOT ready for school to start.

Keegan loved going to Adventure Camp for the first time ever and said it was the best week of his life so far. Even better than Disney! He also had his first piano recital! We've enjoyed some family time and Family Fun Nights at Calvary Chapel Chester Springs.

I am ready for some more structure that fall brings, kind of. I love summer and am not looking forward to the cold weather, unless I'm skiing. But I'm looking forward to digging into the school year. Brady is joining Echo, a new homeschool co op for us and Keegan is back at SALT this year. We will be using Tapestry of Grace as our history and Bible spine. I'm trying to plan out the first 9 weeks loosely but with some structure. And fun projects! Some things I’m thinking about are:creating a  salt map of Europe, Viking ship, castle and food from the medieval times.
